One of the biggest problems on Medium is that it purports to be a platform for discussion, but any article that skews towards topics like gender, race, feminism, or a myriad of other such categories, the author typically writes with the assumption that they are right. I read an article about transgender issues where the author responded to every reply with, "Shut up Transphobe."

I like your piece because it has a strong perspective, but leaves the floor open to discussion. More like it are needed on this site.
